Early starts. And lazy, unplanned days. Often rushed, adrenaline-fillled. But then there’s the park, and the serotonin. Yoga. Meditation. Rediscovering the joy of gardening. New neighbours, everyone says hello. This is the life. And it begins @ Cix, a new neighbourhood in Utrecht’s Merwede district.

What do you
do @ Cix?
Forget the fear of missing out. Because life truly begins @ Cix. Where you get to enjoy the city lifestyle in an environment with plenty of space for your greener side.
Cix is a mix of characterful buildings in Utrecht’s new Merwede district. Together, they form a small city-within-a-city, where the residents all know each other. This is where you’ll find the home you’ve been searching for. Spaceous or more modestly sized. Down town, yet lovely and green.
Utrecht city centre is nearby, but you don’t need to leave the neighbourhood to get good coffee or spend an evening on a terrace. There are also shops, restaurants, creative activity, a market hall full of fresh, local products and a culture house. Cix is a place to come home to. A place where you’ll find balance.
Will Cix be your new home?

Depot
Depot will be Cix’s driving force. The raw, industrial building currently used as a bicycle depot is being developed into an inspiring living lab, where anything will be possible. A place for creative entrepreneurs, circular ideas, cultural events, a food hall and even urban agriculture to thrive!

Theatre
Life in Theatre is bathed in greenery. There’s a lush city park on one side, a lively neighbourhood square on the other, and a courtyard garden in the middle. In addition to 91 owner-occupied homes, the block houses an attractive culture house with a theatre, hospitality and workspaces.

City
The thirteen buildings that comprise City are all from a single family. And that’s plain to see. Each has its own character, yet the relationship is clear. Connected through a shared courtyard garden, they form a lively city-within-a-city of more than 300 homes, along with shops, restaurants, businesses, a gym, lively terraces and green roofs. Housing is a mix of 117 social sector rental apartments, 86 private sector rental apartments, 100 owner-occupier apartments and 3 owner-occupier houses. The block sits right next to the bustling neighbourhood square, which is one of Merwede’s hotspots.
